Haley Bassett was raised in Monroe, CT but has spent a lot of time in both New York and North Carolina to attend school and be with family.  In 2020 they graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a BS in Visual Arts and a minor in Biology.  Recently, they attended Syracuse University and received a Masters in Library and Information Science.  Haley hopes to combine their passions for librarianship and art throught this new path as both a librarian and artist.  Their work mainly uses black and white film but plays with color saturation in some projects.  The high-contrast and short depth-of-field in shots often create abstract pieces that invite viewers to look at details and ask questions about what they are seeing.
